I have some specific colours that I'd like to incorporate, is that possible?
Yes. There is an unlimited amount of colours, densities, and textures available. I can make recommendations as to what might work best for the appropriate application.
 
I have a basic design in mind. Can you work with that?
Yes. However, if you are unsure of a design, I will produce rough coloured sketches to show some possibilities. I like to think that I have a good sense of design. I graduated from the Ontario College of Art and have been an artist and designer for a few decades now.
 
How long does the process take?
It varies depending on the size and complexity of the design. A few short meetings are required to work on concepts, make glass choices, and to make measurements. Then the building process can begin.
 
What is the price range for a custom stained glass project?
Prices are usually based on square footage, complexity of design, glass choices, etc. After discussing your requirements, I can provide you with an accurate quote for you project. I may also be able to suggest alternatives that can lower the original cost.

I would like my home's entranceway revamped with stained glass. Does the stained glass panel replace the existing glass or get attached on top of the existing glass?
It can be done both ways, however it is more cost effective to install the stained glass panel over an existing window.
 
For doors, windows, etc., will you install the piece or is that up to me?
I will usually do a simple installation. In other words, I will put the new panel into the opening and temporarily secure it. I don't do any carpentry such as cutting and installing any molding.
 
My new home isn't built yet, when is the right time to start the process of commissioning a custom stained or leaded glass door/window etc.?
Any time is a good time, but the sooner the better. That allows myself and us both sufficient time to weigh all of the options, and for me to produce and deliver the panel exactly when required by the contractor or the homeowner.
 
Can I see some of your work in person?
Most of the panels that I do are custom-work, and therefore leave the shop to be delivered to the home, office or job-site as soon as possible. At times I do have pieces in various galleries and stores to be viewed, so please get in touch.
 
I have privacy concerns (bedroom, bathroom). Will a stained glass panel be sufficient?
Yes. With the proper choices of glass in regards to colours, textures and densities, privacy and security issues can be addressed.
 
I have an old panel with some cracked glass and broken lead pieces. Can it be saved?
Yes. Repairs can be quite simple or complex and time consuming. But in either case, restoration can return a panel to it's past glory.
